Terms of Service
Template — review with a lawyer before you rely on it, and fill in the bracketed values.
These terms govern use of Sealio, operated by Sealio. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
The service
Sealio lets a professional practice request documents from its clients, runs an automated check on each upload, stores files encrypted, and sends reminders the practice triggers. The automated check is an aid, not a substitute for the practice’s own review; the practice remains responsible for deciding whether a document is acceptable.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account is intended for one practice. Contact us about multiple users.
Your responsibilities as a practice
- You have a lawful basis to collect the documents you request from your clients.
- You will give your clients any privacy notice your jurisdiction requires, and you will handle their access and deletion requests.
- You will not use the service to collect data you are not permitted to hold.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to store unlawful content, attempt to breach its security, probe other tenants’ data, or overload it. We may suspend an account that does.
Data
You retain ownership of your case data and documents. We process them to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. On account closure we delete your data within [30] days, except where law requires retention.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance and third-party outages (hosting, database, AI or email providers) can cause downtime.
Fees
[State pricing, billing cycle, and refund terms, or link to an order form.]
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sealio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and total liability is limited to the fees paid in the [12] months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
Either party may terminate with [30] days’ notice. We may suspend immediately for a serious breach or security risk.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email to account holders.
